MISSING: STEPHEN RYAN IVENS
We are looking for Steve Ivens, loving father and husband, who has not been seen since Thursday, May 10.
Our family last saw him at home on Thursday evening. Steve is 35 years old at the time of his disappearance. He’s 6’1” feet tall and 140-150 lbs with thin build and broad shoulders, has brown eyes, greyish-brown hair with receding hairline, and wears glasses. He’s an avid runner. His identifying marks are his thorn tattoo around his left ankle, skull with wings & Steve tattoo on his upper right arm. He does have deep dimples when he smiles and he tends to squint his eyes. It’s possible that he was wearing a blue & grey Reebok shoes, a dark blue levi’s jeans, a two tone crucifix necklace and a blue sportswatch when he left. It is unknown what else he took with him.
It was believed that he left on foot, that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s canine unit last trace on him was around the Stough Canyon Nature Center at the base of Verdugo mountains. But according to the Law Enforcements, human scent can stay up to three weeks within the pathways so it wasn’t even conclusive if he went there on the same day. There were more than a hundred agents, search and rescue volunteers, local and neighborhood police authorities who actively looked for him for 13 days but weren’t able to find him. His disappearance was reported briefly in the local & national media outlets.
We are appealing to anyone who may have seen, spoken to, or have any information about his whereabouts to please contact the Burbank Police Department at (818) 238-3000.
We love and miss him and our main concern is for his safe return to his family and friends. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
